GMP Unveils Trophy For Slack Auto Parts 150

JEFFERSON, GA (June 7, 2011) – Gresham Motorsports Park is excited to unveil the trophy for the Slack Auto Parts 150 on June 11!

The winner of the NASCAR K-N Pro Series East race on June 11 will take home a one of a kind custom trophy created by Barkley Wike Iron Designs. Parts for the trophy were donated by Slack Auto Parts, Tallant Brothers Auto Parts and Dan Elliott, Inc.

“I appreciate Gresham Motorsports Park giving me the opportunity to do this project and I hope that the winner of this trophy enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it,” said Wike, metal artist of the Slack Auto Parts 150 trophy.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Slack Auto Parts 150 on June 11th! The nights races will include NASCAR K-N Pro Series East, Outlaw late models, Trucks, Mini Stocks, Renegades and Mini Cups. GMP will also be giving away race tickets to Talladega, race tickets to Atlanta, a brand new bicycle, a $50 Walmart gift card and many other great prizes!

Friday night before the race, June 10th, fans can meet some of their favorite drivers, including Theriault, Haley, Kennedy, Elliott, Whitten and crews and compete against them in the arcade and on the go-kart track at Funopolis Family Fun Center in Commerce, GA (only 15 minutes from GMP) from 6-9pm. This event will benefit Jackson County’s Food Bank. Bring three canned food items and get a $5 play card!
