First Day Of Practice For USAR 250 In The Books At Gresham Motorsports Park
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JEFFERSON, GA (March 26, 2010) –The USARacing Pro Cup cars lit up the Gresham Motorsports Park oval in two sessions of practice in anticipation of Saturday’s Racing Electronics USAR 250 Presented By Live Oak Plantation.
Jeff Agnew paced the first practice turning the best lap of the session with an 18.126-second effort (99.305 miles per hour average). J.P. Morgan, who spent most of the first session swapping the top spot with Agnew, clocked in second with an 18.153-second effort.
There were no spins or crashes in Round 1 of USAR practice Friday.
The second session of the day – from 5:45 to 6 p.m. – saw Tom Powers taste the GMP concrete retaining wall in Turn 2 to bring out the yellow flag. Brandon Sweet also spun without contact.
Caleb Holman put down a great lap of 17.883 seconds (100.654 miles per hour average) late in the session to top the second practice while Agnew was runner-up in the final session with a time of 17.949 seconds.

USAR qualifying is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday and an on-track autograph session is set for 5 p.m. Saturday’s pre-race will feature a Drifting exhibition and the high-flying antics of Dialed In Action Sports, one of the top BMX and Skateboarding stunt teams in the country.
Award winning singer/songwriter and F2 Recording Artist – Ricky Fitzpatrick – will perform the National Anthem with the colors being presented by the Jefferson High School Air Force Junior ROTC.
Adult Grandstand Tickets for Saturday’s USARacing Pro Cup 250 Presented By Live Oak Plantation are just $25. Seniors and Active Military Personnel are $20 while Children 6-12 are $10. Children 5 and under will be admitted free.
And remember – if you have a ticket stub from the GMP March 13 season-opening event, you’ll get $5 off an Adult Grandstand or Trackside Parking general admission ticket courtesy of Jim Gresham and Gresham Motorsports Park.
